Hot July weather and a week long celebration of all things shark can really only mean one thing… an epic shark themed party!
With #SharkWeek hitting the Discovery Channel on Sunday night fans should be looking to up their party game. After all – Michael Phelps trained in shark infested waters with a mono fin. So yeah we all have a part to play. First we need to set the mood.
Get the family involved grab some construction paper and draw cut out sharks – hole punch the tops, thread some blue or silver string and hang them from the ceiling. For an added deep sea touch swap out a few regular light bulbs for blue ones.
Next – your guests will need the ultimate shark week drink. 1 oz vodka with 1 oz blue curacao 4 oz of lemonade and crushed ice – this blue lagoon is worth the dive. You can make these shark attack jello shots from Delish with or without alcohol. Combine boiling water, blue jello and rum – put gummy sharks into small clear glasses and add the jello mixture. Refrigerate for 20 minutes and then add a dash of red food coloring aka blood and put back in the fridge for 40 minutes.
