Americans Are Spending Big Bucks On Easter This Year

According to a National Retail Federation Easter survey, Americans are spending way more on Easter than in recent years, with cash expected to flow close to 18.4 billion dollars!

But it might not just be our love for pink and yellow jelly beans, Easter came almost a month later this year leaving more time to give into all things Peeps at the checkout line.

89% of Americans are making candy part of their Easter purchases and because Easter is later this year, temps are more spring-like and there’s nothing like warmer weather to bring out the generous in people.

Except not too generous 58% of people plan on buying Easter gifts at a discount store.
