"With me being out on the road, after-shows, singing pictures, hanging out, doing meet-and-greets and stuff, that's definitely real. There are pretty girls all over the place."

Andy Grammer has had simply the best spring. His single “Honey, I’m Good” went to No. 1 on iTunes’ Pop Chart and No. 12 and Billboard’s Hot 100. He’s been Shazamed more times than we can count and has racked up over 20 million plays on Spotify. His YouTube video counts for the single? Over 10 million.

Radio.com caught up with Grammer at the end of his U.S. tour to talk about the inspiration behind an unlikely love song extolling the virtues of monogamy.

Grammer revealed the real-life inspiration behind the song, how they found that couple who’d been married for over 70 years for the video and how monogamy changed him in unexpected ways.

Andy Grammer’s album, Magazines or Novels, is in stores now.
